Link had been a staple of the Super Smash Brothers contests ever since the first, however, many, many more competitors had joined the roster since then.
One other Smash competitor he had... honestly not given that much attention to was a one Pac-Man. He intended to rectify this, as he walked past Pit, Sonic, and Snake, he softly tapped the short, round yellow being on the... shoulder? And extended a hand.

He wasn’t sure what to make of the sight before him; a tiny round man (the term ‘man’ being used loosely here) with eyes shaped like pizzas? It hardly made any sense, and considering that this wasn’t a video game, Phoenix came to the conclusion that he must’ve fallen asleep at the desk doing paperwork.
“Yeah, that’s right. This must be all a strange dream and I should wake up any second now... “
