“Y’ mean ya can’t feel it? That cold shudder?”
Lowell’s tone held a hint of surprise, watching as the other grasped onto his shoulder rather quickly. It was then he took a few steps forward, reaching out with the one arm he had.
“It’s right… here.”
And instead of the hand landing on Phoenix’s shoulder, it went right though.
“Right... there!?” He immediately felt the hairs on his arm (and head) stand up, followed by an ever-so cold shiver. So there really was a ghost in the same room -- fortunately it’s not him contrary to popular belief, but instead the homely stranger before him.
“H-Hey, be careful where you’re placing that! I mean, well... that is, if you are a ghost.” Phoenix is used to spirit mediums, but even so, he felt this was a much different case. “I feel as though this is all some sort of elaborate prank! In which case, ha ha, you got me. What’s the gag?”
This probably wasn’t a prank at all.
