Day 4 of #7DaysOfFavs: Six of Crows. I have loved the #Grishaverse ever since the original trilogy came out but this series BLEW me away! ⠀ •⠀ This duology is a spin off of the Grisha trilogy. I was lucky enough to nab an autograph signing ticket for Leigh Bardugo at BookCon and she signed these books for me! I also love the playing cards she was giving out as swag - the one pictured is Waylan. ⠀ •⠀ What is your favorite type of Grisha? Mine would be Corpoalki, because Tailors literally have the coolest power ever, which is being able to shift someone's appearance! ⠀ •⠀ #SixOfCrows #SoC #LeighBardugo #Bookstagram

For Day 3 of #7DaysOfFavs, another one of our absolute favorite series: #AnEmberInTheAshes (and sequel #ATorchAgainstTheNight) by #SabaaTahir! ⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀ Ember & Torch are such in depth, detailed, rich stories with incredible descriptions and words. They don’t feel like your typical YA – they are deep reads but so worth every second of it. If you haven’t picked up this series yet, we highly recommend it! •⠀⠀ We first met Sabaa at McNally Jackson books in 2015 after Book Con. She is one of the absolutely sweetest authors and if you aren’t following her on instagram, you’re missing some quality instastories including stuffed animal fights featuring Han Solo. (I can’t make this stuff up.)⠀⠀ •⠀⠀ “You are an ember in the ashes. You will spark and burn, ravage and destroy. You cannot change it. You cannot stop it.” ⠀⠀ •⠀⠀ Now if you need us, we’ll be sitting over here impatiently waiting for Book 3. ⠀⠀ •⠀⠀ #AEITA #ATATN #Bookstagram

Welcome to @frayedbooks! We thought we would introduce ourselves and our blog (link in bio~) by sharing our favorite books for a week! #7daysoffavs • First up: The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. The #Shadowhunter world is what brought the two of us together. We first met through mutual friends at the City of Heavenly Fire release event in NYC in 2014. All of the Shadowhunter books will always be our favorite and these characters hold special places in our hearts. • Have you read Lord of Shadows yet? What did you think?! (No spoilers!) We’re dying in anticipating for the final book in 2019. It can’t come soon enough. Cassie really knows how to break your heart into a million little pieces, but still keep you coming back for more! We’ve also accepted the fact that we will be reading Cassie Clare books for the rest of our lives and honestly, we’re ok with that. • If you haven’t read LoS, who is your favorite Shadowhunter world character?
