For once had some Mael and Sariel thoughts again... I am still waiting for that bitch (mael) to come back to get sunshine... also I am living for Sariel being a meany towards Mael, don't mind me. He's just such an tired annyoed older brother 🩵
I really like these two :DD
So...I watched a video earlier on the spread of Christianity and it made me wonder...
First off, here's the vid if you'd like to watch for yourself. It's Overly Sarcastic Productions, very funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A86fIELxFds Oh and maybe a disclaimer? I did grow up Baptist, though I admit I was never a devoted church goer... And I'm far from any sect of Christianity now. But to the best of my ability I'm gonna try not to talk out of my ass on this topic...
So anyway, what's...up with this?
Why is this kid covered in crosses?
The short answer, if I have one, is because he's King Arthur.
Arthurian myth didn't start as a Christian story, but it became Christianized. The channel I linked above has a video about King Arthur as well.
So out of context, it makes fines sense for King Arthur, in a pop culture situation like this, to be adorned with this symbol. However... It kinda makes no sense in context.
Despite what we as viewer easily recognize as traditionally Christian motifs, I mean it's in the name, Christianity doesn't actually show up in-universe. People say the word "god" all the time, but it's always used either as simple vernacular (e.g. "oh my god") or to refer to a deity in a generalized sense.
The only kind of religion we see in-universe is that the Druids worship the Goddess clan, and yeah they're literally just angels with the label half scraped off, but then their leader/creator is a female deity. Whereas the Christian god is male.
So the closest thing Britannia, as far as we can tell, has to Christianity is the Goddess clan. And they're...really not very close in anything but name and image. So...
Why is Arthur, like, the one Christian in all of Britannia? XD What is this exactly?
all 6 charas together thanks again, i totaly enjoyed to draw them. (Nerobasta's eyes aren't perfect, but I doesn't want to make it worse ;) that it was only 5 named I had to doodle Tioreh(now that we finaly knew the child of King and Diane) together with Galahad. now we hopefully will knew Zeldri's and Gelda's child soon. here some extra doodles I planed on not giving Galahad that much fairy power, but aww look at that sweet fairy baby. he is way to cute not to let him transform. He probably will look differnent when he would transform as an adult As a fox he would be silverish blue and purple
Arthur >Now that we have to look like we are married infront of the guards we should share a bedroom at last....< Guin: have to poke him, have to poke him... Arthur *screams like a girl* (I wished I could remember the conversation I had with my honey, because we fooled around and that's what he actually did. He poked me, it was a realy funny scream.)
saw this the other day and holy shit .. need to read this 7ds sequel
