Our resident IMPerial Majesty and dog most offended by not being allowed into "his" backyard, circumvented our temporary gate set up to keep the dogs in the side yard and managed to put his signature into one of the brand new deck footings that were poured this morning.

You will notice that he practiced first, so as to get the official signature correct. We are now permanently reminded whose yard this is.

“If something is worth doing, it is worth doing well.” His IMPerial Majesty, Ruler of All the Things, and Keeper of the Cookies now has his signature set in stone... err... concrete. Some people were not amused. Fortunately our contractor was.

This little Douglas Pine Squirrel or Chickoree is quite dark.

Basil is our little Chickoree with a touch of melanism, making his coat much darker then his friends and family (see below)... and making him quite easy to recognize.
