Caster Semenya just keeps improving, apparently undefeatable
It looks like she isn't even trying while she clocks 1:56.54 in the 800 metres - the fastest time in the world since 2012. She even ran two entire curves in the second lane, seemingly not affected by it.
Just like she had done during the Doha Diamond League meeting, Semenya kept running relaxedly behind Francine Niyonsaba, appearing to have much left in her tank. When entering the final straight, she simply edged out the Burundian, leaving everyone more than one second behind.
It is incredible how her expression of comfort contrasts with the suffering exposed by the remaining athletes in the back. This South African has got a lot to show us, for a second time in her career.
It isn't easy to guess how fast she can get if she attempts to do a strong front-running just like she did to win the Berlin 2009 World Championships...
