It was the end of the school day, Cisza could finally go home and do just that, look for his cousin. Students kept coming to him with condolences, some sincere, some mocking. He didn’t want them, she was just pouting in the mountains, surely. He could only hope she wasn’t hurt.

He was almost on his way to the gate, just a few more steps, out the big door and- someone stopped him. He looked up, Sam.

“Hey, Cisza right? I just wanted to tell you sorry for your loss.”

Don’t act like she’s dead.

“Momo was your cousin right? She seemed really nice.”

Then why didn’t you make your so-called friends leave her alone?

“Anyways, sorry again. I wish you the bes- ack!”

Cisza had gripped Sam by the collar, and slammed them against the wall. He scowled, eyes cold as ice, and tone just as cold, “I hope you die.”

Sam shrunk at the sound of his voice.

Cisza let go, and turned around, pushing his way through Sam’s snickering group of friends. Forget them, they could go jump off a cliff.
