Threading through the reed & heddles is finally finished on the Macomber, and I have started tying on to the back. Hope to be beaming the warp soon! Also, the regular straight beater for the Voyageur loom has arrived & been installed. Work on the Voyageur loom is just about finished. I have sorted & straightened the harnesses & heddles, then looked at the frame. I found old dried glue on one heddle frame and a few heddles, also several loose screws and a couple of missing washers. Heddle count is 535 (for 8 harnesses) so I’ll be ordering another 300 heddles, and waiting until they arrive to reassemble the loom. #voyageurloom #tableloom #8harnessloom https://www.instagram.com/p/B7ENsYxppA7/?igshid=3m9y0opogfn3

Bought an 8-harness Leclerc Voyageur table loom last week, and it arrived today. Just a few issues - first of all, it has a swinging beater, and I prefer a standard one (already on order). Also, instead of securing the front and back beams as instructed in the manual (second pic), the front and back beams were raised but only tied in place. This resulted in the harnesses being completely jumbled out of place, loose heddle bars, etc. It is now partially disassembled, and harnesses are being removed and restructured before being put back. I'll reassemble after I get some new heddles to add on there, and the standard beater (probably at least another week). It will still end up cheaper than buying one new. Warping the #schachtbabywolf loom continues. I have finally finished threading the heddles (only 3 days) and have started sleying (threading) the reed. I'm setting it up for 27 epi (ends per inch) in a 12-dent (12 dent = 12 spaces per inch) reed, so I'm doing 2 threads, 2 threads, 2 threads, 3 threads, and repeating that pattern. Almost halfway done with that. Then I need to check for errors. I found two already - I had 2 extra orange threads in one section, and 2 black threads missing in another.
