Finished my doubleweave “homework” yesterday (@lunaticfringeyarns in the Bright colorway), and managed to finish the first piece on the Friendship towel warp as well. I didn’t enjoy working with the orange cotton/linen blend. It constantly wanted to unspool itself and wrap around the axle in the shuttle. Second towel has been started, in a @blazingshuttles yarn. Last night I finished winding the warp sections for the upcoming #doubleweave workshop with Jennifer Moore & #lunaticfringeyarns. It will be a 4-day workshop (2 consecutive Tuesdays & Fridays) starting May 18. I also decided on the first project for the Reed Cambridge loom - this Log Cabin kit from @cottoncloudsyarns. I managed to sign up this morning for a Doubleweave class with Jennifer Moore through @lunaticfringeyarns ! I have wanted to take a class with her for a long time! The class runs in four 3-1/2 hour sessions over 10 days. I am looking forward to this so much! Inspiration. Must.weave.faster. I downloaded these two patterns today, and ordered yarn for the first one. (I think I have suitable yarns for the second - maybe). After over a week with no time to weave, I am *making* some time today. This is what remains on the looms: Macomber - 2nd double weave piano keys scarf (I had some errors that ground it to a halt, all fixed today and progress resumes); Baby Wolf - rainbow hearts towels with #lunaticfringeyarns 10/2 cotton; and a Jaggerspun scarf on the vintage 4H #bernatloom. None will be finished for Christmas, but that’s OK.
