god ppl who edit their comments on YouTube or Pinterest or this hellsite or what have you to thank ppl because they got a ton of likes or be like “wow why did I get so many likes???” piss me off so much. I mean it’s just a pet peeve. it’s not a big deal by any stretch of the concept. but still, like, come on. “Wow guys this is the most likes I’ve ever gotten!!” SHUT UP!!! It was a COMMENT!!!! It took you TEN SECONDS TO MAKE!!! wow, congrats, you got a chuckle out of four thousand people. Nice job. Do you want a cookie? like it’s fine to be proud of it but you don’t need to edit the comment it just comes across as humble-bragging self-aggrandizement that takes me out of the joke! I got seventeen thousand likes and a hundred-odd comments when making a krusielle joke on a YouTube short but you don’t see me editing my comment saying “teehee, look at me!!! I’m so special and loved by everyone!!!” and half the time they only got fifty likes. I get that it’s twelve year olds who are receiving the most internet attention they’ve ever received up until that point, I get it, I could’ve seen myself doing the same thing but like.
