Ibanez RG9, 9-String
Perfect War Forever
Glass Cloud is a group driven by guitarist Joshua Travis and his never ending pursuit to find the heaviest, most mind-bendingly crushing guitar tone and their latest EP 'Perfect War Forever' seems to take that a step further. 9-string guitars are used throughout, creating an extremely deep groove that doesn't let up. It's a fairly lengthy EP clocking in at around 22+ minutes and while it has more urgency than their full length 'The Royal Thousand' I think it works well as a more aggressive sampling of their newest efforts. The vocals hold a lot of passion and fit the music very well, albeit they take a much more extreme path as there is little to no clean singing to be found. If you're a fan or just curious to hear a 9-string in action, I'd highly recommend listening to the 2nd track - 'I Dug a Grave'.

Solid, groovy, heavy, melodic metal, gotta love mixing it up. God, I do love progressive music.
