Se ha anunciado BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, un juego de acción roguelite en el que los jugadores controlan a 14 personajes únicos de la franquicia BLAZBLUE. Cada personaje posee «potenciales» distintivos, que se pueden combinar libremente con una amplia variedad de habilidades tácticas para crear innumerables estilos de combate. Al heredar habilidades entre personajes, los jugadores pueden desarrollar configuraciones más profundas y disfrutar de una personalización ilimitada de los personajes adaptada a su propio estilo de juego.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect cuenta con una historia original totalmente nueva ambientada en el universo BlazBlue y un elenco repleto de personajes queridos por los fans como Naoto Kurogane.

Contará con edición física en PS5 y Nintendo Switch en su versión deluxe. En digital contará con edición estándar y deluxe.

Se lanzará para PS5, NintendoSwitch y Xbox Series X|S el 12 de febrero de 2026.

Entropy Effect's Studio, 91Act, closing

On February 5th of this year (2024) the studio behind Entropy Effect, 91Act, went through with laying off "all employees," according to a Bilibili article here. A discussion on the game's Steam page translates the article into English. The article claims the company is suffering with financial issues and that this is the reason they will be shutting down. The game's producer Jiang Lei is sticking around with plans to continue updating the game and making patches in response to player feedback until it becomes impossible to do so.

I've seen some rumors going around, on the Entropy Effect Discord and the Steam page, about other possible reasons for this sudden turn of events. Some people are claiming that 91Act's last game before EE was a massive monetary loss that led to the issues they're currently having; other people are saying that a key investor failed to deliver the funds he had promised. I wasn't able to find sources for either of these claims, so for now we'll have to wait for more news for 91Act.

As for what these means for the game, there's no way to know, as far as I can tell. A small patch based on player feedback was released on February 7th, but it's still too early to assess how much Jiang Lei will be able to offer on single-handedly, or whether or not the twelve datamined characters will ever be fully implemented.
