Tornado Confirmed inside Banks County | 92.1 WLHR

The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado did touch down inside Banks County instant Wednesday.

Banks County Emergency Management Agency Director Deidra Moore mentioned the tornado was an EF1 with wind speeds between 86-110 miles per hr.

The tornado, that hit regarding midnight Tuesday, caused damage to homes plus attributes along a nine-mile stretch of the county, however, inspite of the significant winds, authorities state many the damage was minor plus no injuries were reported.

“Here at the Banks County Sheriff’s Office, you are grateful plus very thankful which nobody was hurt plus just minor damages were reported following a potential tornado passed by the county,” mentioned Banks County Sheriff Carlton Speed.
