eyebrows furrow at his lover’s words. soft eyes gaze into theirs as he turns away from his computer and places a hand on damien’s cheek. ‘ baby, why would you be a bother ? you could literally never bother me. ’ it was just a little thing they said, he knows that, but he knows there’s a little something deeper. ‘ of course you can. come sit on my lap, honeybear. ’ times like this where damien comes to him seemed to be rare but theo didn’t like to push, so he takes every chance he can to show up for him and let him know how much he loves them. ‘ you okay, sweetheart ? ’

‘ you don’t have to let go, damie. ’ eyes turn soft as he looks at the other laying beside him. their words turn his heart soft and sad, a reminder that they have the option to leave. ‘ don’t let go. look, he doesn’t want you to go. remember him ? i haven’t gotten rid of him because he reminds me of you. ’ theo’s referring to the ragged old teddy bear he’s had since they were kids, the one that would always sleep in between them when damien would stay the night.

‘ you think so ? ’ runs their hand through their own hair, suddenly self conscious. it’s a little dark in her bedroom, but jules’ golden eyes glow through the gloomy lights. looks down at her hands, heart thudding against her chest. pinky finger cautiously reaches out to link around the other’s. the two were close, close enough that eden could feel their breathing. ‘ your - your everything is ... soft. ’

i hate to think about you with somebody else. εϊз @976evilz​.

it’s been a while. too fucking long, in theo’s opinion. too many nights torturing himself for the decision he made the night he and damien finally both confessed to their feelings. his decision to run away. knows he’s betting everything on the idea that the other would be waiting for him when he came home. fuck, if they were even thinking of him at all. after an exhausting road trip back to his hometown, a quick stop in the divebar he was so used to seems necessary. walks in and stumbles into a seat at the bar, ordering an old fashioned. blinks as he takes in the familiar surroundings, until a glimpse to his left causes his heart to drop into his stomach. it’s damien. damien, with someone else. presumably not just a friend, considering their arm is around them in a way that looks like more than just friends. can’t seem to take his eyes off of them for at least a solid thirty seconds, before the bartender comes back with his drink. ‘ fuck, thanks, ’ head falls into his hands, rubbing his eyes. downs the drink in almost a single sip. of course he has someone else. why wouldn’t he? before he realizes he’s downed almost four glasses of liquor, wondering, hoping and fearing that damien sees him too.
