2020
It's been a while since I have posted anything on here, but my most recent thoughts are in relation to the upcoming elections in the United states. I feel as though Donald Trump isn't this criminal mastermind. However his biggotry, xenophobia, and general ignorance it a damaging element that has nearly plagued this country for 4 years now. He definitely currupt, and shady to say the least. Back during the last presidential election, I wasn't old enough to vote, but I had support for Vermont State Senator Bernie Sanders. Bernie has always intrigued me in a way that demanded my attention and most recently earned my deepest respect. Recently I watched his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, and hearing him speak in an environment where he could fully express his political ideologies, and agenda without being misinterpreted, or exaggerated by major news networks as he typically is, and my support for him as a disabled woman, and most importantly an American has grown much stronger. As some of you may already know he made a video today expressing that they are still accepting donations to fund the final leaps, and bounds of his campaign, and has set a goal to recieve 1 million individual donations of any amount. He said something along the lines of "achieving such a goal and reaxhing the needed amount of campaign funds without taking handouts from corporations, or Super Packs is exactly what we need to create the grassroots organization that would have the collective voice to take on many issues in our country." I completely agree with this, and though I am ultimately unsure how the election will pan out, but I'm putting my faith in Bernie, and his campaign because he was am activist when it wasn't "cool" to be one, when he lost the democratic nomination in 2016 unlike other candidates Bernie Sanders remained an activist, and didn't hide in the shadows until election time rolled back around. He protested the DAP, the situation in Flint, and many other things, and the inspiring part about it is he isn't done. I highly reccomend his appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast even if you aren't and never will support Bernie because it is still a very interesting point of view to look at and i believe this guy really cares about this nation and it's people, plus fuck trump, celebraties are over rated anyway.
