The Hermit and their Emotions
People born on the 9th or 27th, in September, as well as those born in the years: 1998, 2007, 2016, and 2025.
At first glance, this person may seem reserved, closed-off, or emotionally distant. But underneath, there is deep sensitivity and an almost bottomless emotional world. The Hermit often goes through periods of emotional overload (9 is the number of completion), which is why they distance themselves from outside world. Over time, they may develop a tendency to “freeze” their feelings, because it feels safer. In the classic Tarot, the Hermit stands on a snowy mountain - a symbol of emotional coldness and self-control, well, that gives them a sense of stability.
That’s why I chose to depict the Hermit surfing, because not everyone can handle waves like these. Their emotions are like powerful waves, overwhelming and all-consuming. But in trying “not to feel,” they can fall into total control and lose connection with their authentic, vulnerable self. The key is not to suppress emotions, but to stay connected to them. I often notice a strong pull of the 9th Arcana toward water signs, as if through them, the Hermit regains access to their feelings and softness. The Hermit’s mission is not to run from their emotional depth, but to learn how to ride the wave.
