The polygraph test otherwise known as the Lie Detector is an invention that was first used in War, not on daytime talk shows in order to see if your husband is sleeping with another woman.

Pictured above are various tanks around the time of World War 1. To state the obvious, tanks were invented to help soldiers move across land obstacles that are difficult to cross on foot and made soldiers more vulnerable to their oppositions. The first known inventor of the tank was Lancelot de Mole. He was an Australian engineer that supposedly was given credit to come up with the idea of the tank.

M1 Thompson (Tommy Gun) - The Famous Thompson submachine gun of World War II was a great piece of engineering.

Widely known as the tommy gun, this invention of the 20's is a very important piece of technology. It provided a rapid amount of bullets to be dispensed in order to give American soldiers a slight upper hand on other forces.

Above is a picture is one of the early traffic lights. This particular traffic light is slightly more modern than the very earliest traffic light. The first traffic light was in Cleveland and was only equipped with a red and green light. The inventor, was a policeman by the name of Lester Wire, whom of which invented the first red-green light.
