YES well like insofar as 'jarun beating him to a pulp and/or dissecting him a bit' counts as training :D emy has free access to 3rd moon prison (can come and go as he pleases; he generally chooses not to but jarun can reel him in against his will when he sleeps (which is super rarely in and of itself bc hierai's seam prevents him from sleeping. this man is truly beset on all sides).. emy going there on purpose develops more in earnest over the course of hbtw/cos), where he heals even faster and more perfectly than on earth / basically the whole place is designed as a customizable torture prison, which can be as a training facility if getting put thru a meat grinder is your idea of training
jarun thinks it's edifying for him anyways and he really genuinely wants emery to get stronger (not that he likes him or anything but he’s projecting a lot, and they tangibly do have a lot in common / it's really pathetic of both of them but he’s got a really sincere and complicated hope that emy will fulfil all his heart's desires at the end of the day, and bring an end to the world!). it's a miserable setup but emy is enduring it. god's favourite chewtoy...
