Here we have FroAnhke toiling away at the new herbalist hut. Not including the public baths, the Herbalist hut that Shocc built has two rooms, with a loft (seen in the last picture) above the main area.

Similarly to Naiyaz’s herbalist career in the Resistance series, the massage table serves as a tool of FroAnhke’s trade. It is unseen in these pictures, as it is located in the second room (again not pictured) where FroAnhke dries herbs.

Later on I swap out the desk and possibly the chair as one or both weren’t actually functional. After @danjaley kindly made a medieval science station I took out the bed on the loft and replaced it with the station.

When he knelt down like that I actually remember feeling a little sad that I don’t know how to make animations or mods. Like I imagine that since these movements are already available, it would make creating an animation that would allow him to carry the baby in the basket a little easier. But again, I don’t know.

Ohhh! I never actually played TS1, on 2-4. Makes me wonder if they traded them out for deer in TS3.

Yeah, I actually remembered why I started wondering about rabbits after posting. 

Before I switched to my current game, I had 2 sims from Isolation go on a hunting trip. One of the sims was a child, and I figured that since he couldn’t use the Archer’s Gauntlet he could befriend rodents and birds as part of his hunting activities. I have collected minor pets before (I didn’t actually realize until you said so that there were rats, and shrew (found this after googling)), but I think this time, since I was thinking of them in the context of food, it suddenly dawned on me that there were no rabbits in the game.

But thanks to @danjaley I now know rabbits were a thing in the original!

I forgot to note that I’m still using my add-ons to @danjaley‘s Banished rules here. So FroAnhke can’t sew unless the household has gathered enough corn and someone has used the treadmill or pull up bar long enough (the length is around 30 minutes for 3 corn, but varies depending on the sims athletic skill) to make thread.

Now that I am using @greenplumbboblover‘s Mechanical Stitching Machine, I’ve relaxed some of these rules since the mod provides it’s own challenges.

There’s this odd fried snack thing that has become very popular here. Like if they can find a way to deep fry it they will. Although I like things like fried ice cream, fried pickles is not for me, lol.

Since the Isolation game is following @danjaley‘s Banished Challenge Rules + some personal constraints/conditions, which I’ve discussed in previous posts, the house is a work in progress. If I’m being honest everything I make is. Additional furniture, updated appliances, new clutter and decor, and additional rooms have been and continue to be added as the sims in the game get the material and perform whatever activity I’ve deemed necessary to build the item/structure. It’s slow, but has thus far kept me invested in this series.

Here we have FroAnhke and Trovinte of Isolation doing various chores. 

First, FroAnhke cleans the chamber pot in the bathroom of her family’s home.

Then we have two shots of Trovinte getting milk to turn to cheese and substitute for the milk used as cooking ingredients on a lot I set up to appear as though wild cows are grazing. 

I forgot to mention that both the lot Trovinte pitches a tent on and that he fishes on while exploring one of the smaller outer islands of @blackyssims2and3zoo‘s custom world Nimmerwald_E were also lots I set up to gather resources. The little forest is a herbalist gathering spot that focuses mostly on mushrooms, but also includes other plants from the Supernatural expansion pack. 

For the cow grazing lot I used all three of @danjaley‘s liberated cow options. I am still contemplating whether or not to set up a second grazing lot.

You know... I think I actually remember reading a conversation about this on a forum, or hearing this mentioned in a video I watched, and I just forgot about it until you said this. 

It’s funny to me how often I keep thinking, this is just a challenging part of game play, instead of this thing is broken, like I’m not dealing with EA, lol!

Not sure how I missed this, but alas....

Later on I ended up doing just that, but in my Isolation series. I serperated the two sims I had go on the trip and saved them to the library, then after putting them into the vacation/trip world I made sure to keep track of increases in skills and lifetime rewards so that I could edit my sims using Master Controller once I returned to the home world.
