In extending shelter-in-place orders through the end of May, six Bay Area counties revealed a series of indicators they’re using to determine when it’s safe to further loosen restrictions.
The orders fall just short of a full lockdown, and it wasn’t immediately clear how, or to what degree, they would be enforced. People will still be able to go shopping for essential items such as food and household supplies, and seek medical care.
