Second Wave Preview

And we are back!!! In case you missed it, the First Wave Roundup posted yesterday and can be found here. Our second wave authors and artists have already started posting and we have much more fantastic fic to come! The second wave covers the entire month of July. We have 19 authors posting with accompanying artwork as well as original artwork to look forward to! So, who’s ready? I sure am! Here we go!

@whumped-natascha-remi-ronin posted the first chapter of her Medium!Killian fic Afloat on Shipless Oceans. Artwork by @huffleporg will be coming later. 

@distant-rose posted the first chapter of her MC, Seal of Fate featuring Selkie!Killian. Artwork by @drowned-dreamer will be posted next week.

WHEW!!!!! Is that a lot of fics? I think that’s a LOT of fics! Plus we’ll be seeing updates to already posted MC’s. I am absolutely beside myself over all the AMAZING fic we’ve already had and we have coming up! Make sure you read and give all the authors and artists some love for their hard work and wonderful results! As this post covers the preview for weeks 7&8, I will not be posting a separate post to preview those weeks. I will be posting a review post when those weeks are completed as well as a preview post for the end of July. Until then my friends...

Drumroll please... our next artist for the CSSNS is @flipperbrain!!!

Hello again all! Our next artist for the CSSNS is none other than @flipperbrain!!! She is doing not only her own fic with art accompanying, she’s doing fic art for another CSSNS author as well!

How long have you been in the CS/OUAT fandom? 

2 years in May

When did you start shipping CaptainSwan? 

I'd never heard of 'shipping' before I joined Tumblr, but I loved the tension between them starting in Season 2. Killian was beautiful from the get go but he truly stole my heart in Neverland and I've been a goner ever since.

What drew you to this event?

I'm usually not into supernatural type au's for CS but @kmomof4 asked me to make a header for the cssns blog and it was a lot of fun so I thought why not? Now I've already written my story and done the art for it, lol, and it's not posting until July! Guess I'll have to flesh it out some more or write another chapter or two in the meantime. :)

What inspired your topic? 

I've had an idea in my head for a vampire one-shot for a awhile, I'm sure it's not all that original of a concept but it's done my way, dark and broody.

I am over the moon excited that Kris has decided to join us for this event! I had an idea of what she might do for the banner when I asked her to do it, but she exceeded all expectations! I’m pretty sure that anyone reading this would agree with me that the banner is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I swear, I couldn’t stop staring at it for literally DAYS!! And I still just get a thrill of delight down my spine overtime I log on to the blog and see it again! She is responsible for the icon as well! So everyone go say “hi” to this incredible artist and flail over that breathtaking banner!! Her fic will drop on July 10!

CSSNS Weeks 7&8 Roundup

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand we’re back! I’m sorry I’m late with this. This was supposed to post Saturday night, but as you might have seen, last weekend was very busy and yesterday was spent getting caught up on all the CSSNS fics I’d missed over the last few days and getting them all read and reblogged. But now that I have, I have a question... Are y’all having fun? I can’t tell you how much I am LOVING this summer and all the supernatural offerings we’ve been getting! Every time something new posts or something else is updated, this is pretty much me...

We’ve had the first wave roundup post that included all the fic and art that dropped in May and June and the second wave preview post that included all the fics that had already posted in July as well as what else was coming up in July, but we are now finished with weeks 7&8 and this post will highlight those fics as well as all those that have posted/updated since July 1. The end of the post will preview what we have to look forward to for the rest of July and into August. Without further ado, here we go!
