Stephen Arch is a former English teacher and amateur survivor. A month before the zombie apocalypse hit, his fiancee left him and virtually disappeared from his life shortly after, and subconsciously since, he’s been searching for her to see if she’s still alive. During his search, he’s saved a pug from a locked apartment and was found by a group of survivors from the Wexley Hotel a couple of blocks away. Once that Hotel had been overrun, he and a pregnant therapist, Lawrence Duffy, left (with the dog) and somehow managed to find a way off Long Island and started heading south/west.
