My possibly-asleep brain: it's a shame there isn't an effect trope to cause spanking like there is for some other effects.
...there could just be, though.
Concept: spanking pollen
You're susceptible to spanking pollen if you've done something you want to/need to/think you should be punished for and you haven't been (...or come to think if you just feel that or some other relevant ways in general).
To resolve the effects you have to go to someone and tell them about it and ask them to do it (and have it happen).
(Can keep all the 'otherwise bad things will happen' and 'you get increasingly desperate' and 'some people of course try to resist - but -' from the standard tropes!)
