Animation I did for Environment Day. Rendered in Arnold. There was a slight animation problem when the grass starts growing and I didn't have the time to render it again, so I did a quick fix in After Effects. Its not pretty, I know.

Rhode Island Lighthouses and a Surprise in Massachusetts

I saw some lighthouses this weekend! I was in Rhode Island for a wedding and decided to revisit some lighthouses that I'd seen before to get better pics.

This is Borden Flats Lighthouse in Falls River, Massachusetts. A cute little puppy jumped on my leg here. I just happened to see it while driving over a bridge this time but I'm pretty sure I went the same way last time and totally missed it. I was working from a list of Rhode Island lighthouses and didn't think about having to drive through MA to see more in RI.

This is Castle Hill Lighthouse in Newport, RI. Last time I went here it had snowed and I was afraid to approach this cliff knowing that it would be slippery.

This is Newport Harbor Lighthouse also known as Goat Harbor Lighthouse in Newport, RI. I didn't get close to the lighthouse last time but made sure to this time.

They also had a goat there on Goat Island. lol

This is Rose Island Lighthouse in Newport, RI. I wasn't necessarily planning on seeing this one because it was so far away from King Park where I saw it last time. This view was from Goat Island and I had left the telephoto lens in the car.

One day I'm going to go back and take one of the many lighthouse cruises to see it close up. There are so many that you either have to do the lighthouse cruise or take a ferry to see close.

This is Ida Lewis Yacht Club formerly known as Ida Lewis Lighthouse or Lime Rock Lighthouse in Newport, RI. I have been by here twice and still haven’t seen the actual light. Of course, it’s private property and the pier next to this one at King Park (where you can have the best view from land without being there) has a “No Trespassing” sign and some type supplies on it. 

This is Plum Beach Lighthouse in Jamestown, RI. I took this pic completely not looking with my phone. I, of course, had to rotate and crop it so it looked like something. I’m pleased.

These are Dutch Island Lighthouse in Jamestown, Rhode Island, and Sakonnet Lighthouse in Middletown, Rhode Island. I went back to these because I brought my telephoto lens.

This is Pomham Rocks Lighthouse in Riverside, Rhode Island. 

I got a great pic of the sun about to set here as well.

I finished up here at around 5 and my flight was at 7:30. So I took the chance to go to Iggy's which was recommended by an Uber driver.
