Confessional: I don't find sexual release as much as I'd need it. It makes me overact a little sometimes. Today I am wearing a bag over my hear to repent.

                    “A bag?”  The priest responds, alarmed— Totally out of priestly character.  He clears his throat loudly and adjusts in his seat, repeating the words in a more appropriate tone. “A bag.”

          Ah, the sin of sex.  A carnal sin, one he heard often— One he occasionally engaged in himself.  Oops.  But that wasn’t the point right now. . — He could sense the guilt in the masculine-sounding voice.  That, and he could actually hear a BAG crinkling.  OH Heavens, the urge he had to try to squint through the mesh-like material between them to see if a bag truly was there.

          But he refrained, and instead offered kind words.

                    “Today, I offer you a Psalm’s verse: ‘God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.’” He felt this person needed comfort: Not just penance and forgiveness.  “What has occurred with you is a cry for help: A cry that can be answered by God.  For as the book of Psalms states, our Lord is an ever-present help.  Do not be afraid to approach Him in a time of need.  He is a forgiving god who loves you dearly.”  

                    “I believe I have witnessed your remorse for such actions.”  Oh, he hoped he didn’t sound amused.  “So in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, you are forgiven.”

          Don’t forget the bag, don’t forget the bag!

                    “I. . As penance, please remove the bag.  The Lord has made you in beauty and in His image: He wouldn’t want you to hide that.”
