The need to be remembered
(of course the honorable mention of Drag Path 🗣️🗣️ as I find this song to really link to this topic)
The idea that we are willing to leave a mark of our existence on the surface we call our home is something I find so intimate about the human race. The bits we leave behind has the potential to have an impact, even if it's between two people or the rest of the world.
We are desperate to document something or show how the world affects us. We create, learn, educate, discover and then pass it on. I find it incredible that an individual can create something so significant to our society that everyone knows its under your name, because even decades after you have passed from this realm people instantly know who you were, and why you are known.
We have succumbed to this pattern of recognizing that we are ought to act upon a certain calling. Branding your identity with something that your soul is drawn to. A prophecy you are yet to discover as you unravel in front of the pathways we call a lifetime.
Everything you come across, whether by accident or not, it was meant to happen and some way or another that thing will find you. And that thing will drive your inner passions and be the guide to your own personal discovery.
As a creative individual, someone who lives for the arts, is influenced by it on a daily basis and depends on it in order to keep my ideas flowing. The idea that humans yearn to be remembered is so important to me. I believe that it is our purpose to explore and eventually leave something behind - an artefact. As artists we create in various ways: we place, paint, sketch, compose, embed and capture the essences of our existence purely because of how much it captivates our small souls. The human experience is so expansive that our minds need to quickly document it before we move onto the next.
'Cueve de las Manos'
the multitudes of famous artists in which humans cry when experiencing their works just because of how much it moves our souls, one word that reminds me of this feeling is on is an audiophile (hear me out) "an enthusiast dedicated to high-fidelity (hi-fi) sound reproduction, seeking the most accurate, realistic, and detailed audio experience". The reason why I think this is important to know is clear, we all have preferences to music and the reason for it is because we all resonate with something specific, to whatever our soul desires.
that one summer memory when you find a tree and etch an initial of a friendship or a potential lover
the signatures we create so that people know its yours
our handwritings
the stacks of photo albums that lay on your shelves
millions of documents uploaded onto the internet
books we leave as discographies, biographies and the stories we dream about
We as well, whether we are conscious of doing it, we are slowly but surely leaving crumbs of our beings on this earth. You visit a local cafe for the last time before you move houses or we speak about our passions that leave people speechless and up on their feet with standing ovations.
We all leave an impact in some way or another and that fuels our ambitions to do even more.
(truly hope this was a good blog post for people to read- it was more of an overview of this topic as this is something that could literally be written into a book or pdf itself.) Until next time, stay blessed and stay freaky !! 😽💞
