You know what, my ace self often goes yikes during TV shows. Because, you know, sex is gross and why would you. But there’s a special kind of yikes for allosexual writers who really think all that defines a relationship is sex.
When you have your character tell her wife that they’re suffering from lesbian bed death because she’s been there before, in relationships where they stopped having sex and were then basically just sisters... I gotta tell you, your real problem ain’t the sex-life.
Because I can’t even begin to explain to you that the difference between “my wife” and “my sister” should most definitely be more than just “I have sex with one and not with the other”.
Sex. Does. Not. Define. Romantic. Relationships.
If you don’t have sex in your relationship and you then immediately categorize it as the same as your relationship with your siblings, then you have failed your relationship, you’ve failed to actually build a romantic relationship. All the sex in the world wouldn’t be able to fix the actual, fundamental problems you clearly have in your marriage there...
Mink Friends - Strawhats: A Brief Guide
Strawhat Luffy: Really silly. Loves to party. Gets along great with Master Neko.
Swordsman Zoro: Stern. Drinks a lot with Monji. Likes to wander around the forest. (Lost?)
Swirly Sanji: Makes yummy food for everybody! Acts weird with girls. Reminds me of Papa somewhat.
Ms. Nami: Close with Aunty Wanda. Hits Strawhat and other crewmates a lot. (Her minkship? Maybe avoid.)
Long Nose Usopp: Tells lots of amazing stories! Shows off shooting skill and teaches cool tricks to us kids.
Doctor Chopper: Dances when happy. Really gentle except with Master Neko. Loves Aunty Milky. (Does that make him an uncle?)
Ms. Robin: Best at minkship, so many hands! Always smiling. Asks the Duke lots of questions I don’t understand.
Robo Franky: Not fun to garchu (cold and hard metal). Has lots of magic tricks though. Cries like Uncle Pekoms.
Mr. Jimbei: Fish mink? Doesn’t say much. Lets kids climb on him. Dresses like Lord Momo and Wano men. Samurai fish?
Skeleton: VERY SCARY! AVOID! …but sings and plays nice music. Friends with Papa. (Says “Brook” wants to be my friend too. Protect Papa?)
Aunty Carrot: Fun and strong! Has cool Su Long form! So awesome!! Gets in trouble a lot and scolded by Papa sometimes.

Nelly's Family: A Brief Guide
Zaza: Dorky parent. Painter. Gives lots of hugs and kisses. Deliverer of dad-jokes. Papa: Serious parent. Captain of guardians and former pirate. Life goals. Master Neko: Sort of uncle? Strongest mink. Best at sleepovers. BB and Roddy: Main playmates. Fun to climb. Closest to being brothers. Milky: Quiet aunty. Shares cute clothes. Can knock out Roddy in five seconds. Duke Inu: Royal king. Second strongest mink. Recommends books. Wanda: Fun aunty. Knows everyone. Always has new spots to explore. Sici: Weird uncle. Might like drawings? Rants about joining musketeers. Vepo and Zane: Nana and Baba. Closest to parents. Have nice tea and funny stories about Papa. Nancy: Sort of Nana. Collects wanted posters of son and friends. Likes to pinch cheeks. Pekoms: Pirate uncle. Captain. Cries easily. Pretends to lose at wrestling. Carrot: Pirate aunty. Always excited. Plays every game. Has strange/scary crewmates. Bepo: Anxious pirate uncle. Awesome fighting style. Once made pillow armor. Zepo: Legendary uncle. Never met, now gone. Praised by everyone, especially by Papa and pirate uncles. -Nelly (I've got the coolest family!)
Wilkie Collins's Note to the Reader at the beginning of his novel The Law and the Lady is my new favorite thing.
NOTE:
ADDRESSED TO THE READER.
IN offering this book to you, I have no Preface to write. I have only to request that you will bear in mind certain established truths, which occasionally escape your memory when you are reading a work of fiction. Be pleased, then, to remember (First): That the actions of human beings are not invariably governed by the laws of pure reason. (Secondly): That we are by no means always in the habit of bestowing our love on the objects which are the most deserving of it, in the opinions of our friends. (Thirdly and Lastly): That Characters which may not have appeared, and Events which may not have taken place, within the limits of our own individual experience, may nevertheless be perfectly natural Characters and perfectly probable Events, for all that. Having said these few words, I have said all that seems to be necessary at the present time, in presenting my new Story to your notice.

Mink Friends - Heart Pirates: A Brief Guide
Note- Only know the names of a few members. Most don't say much. Traffy Law: Grumpy. Cuddles with Uncle Bepo. Once fixed my hurt knee, can be gentle and nice when needed. Uncle Bepo: Nervous, constantly. Adores Law and looks up to Papa. Teaches fighting, but scared of hurting me. Draws with me afterwards. Penguin: Awkward when playing. Tries to act tough, but scared of Rain Eruptions. Gets red around Aunty Milky. Shachi: More relaxed. Makes lots of jokes. Impressed by climbing tricks. Stutters around Aunty Wanda. Jean Bart: Sort of scary at first. Sits me on his shoulder and play with his long hair. Rivalry with BB. -Nelly
Mink Friends - Whitebeard Pirates: A Brief Guide
Note- Crew is huge. Can only note most common visitors. Marco: Turns into bird, very soft. Zaza of the crew. Close to Master Neko and the Duke. (Somehow older than the kings, even though young looking.) Yoko: So cool! Turns into red panda mink. Teaches haki (and sword stuff...convince again?). Like an aunty or sister, like Aunty Carrot. Ace: Strawhat's brother, always talks about Luffy. Sleeps at weird times. Loves to play. Most fun? (Undecided.) Haruta: Energetic. Can climb almost as well as Papa. Likes going on forest adventures. Most fun? (Tied with Ace.) Thatch: Cooks for anyone who asks. Has trouble walking sometimes. Pranks crewmates to make us laugh, mainly Ace. Jozu: Nervous around small minks. Likes storybooks? Once beat Master Neko at arm wrestling. Vista: Spends lots of time with Uncle Sici for sparring. (And mustache tips.) Smells like old roses and men's perfume, too strong. Izo: Like Zaza, but fancy. Another Wano person? Won't shoot gun, no matter how kids ask. Once gave me a pretty hair clip. Stefan: Puppy! With a funny white mustache! (The Whitebeard?) -Nelly
