💕Her Slip Up💕

For a long moment, Elijah stared heatedly down at Eternity, while she gazed back with wonder and just a hint of a desire all her own sparkling dimly in those dark blue eyes of hers. There was no thought, no inner war, only the fires of passion, of desire. Then his eyes flickered down to the ethereal beauty’s mouth when she began to nibble on her lower lip, whether from nervousness or restraint, he wasn’t sure.

Whatever it was, Elijah was seduced by the simple action and without thought, he pulled Eternity into him. The feel of her warmth, her soft body against him as much as it could be with her round belly in the way was absolutely thrilling. Her pregnant form just inflamed his desire for her even more. So much so that he quickly cupped the back of her head and let his mouth descend upon hers with a brutal passion, not unlike that which he had displayed that life changing night.

Eternity gasped in her surprise at his actions and Elijah took full advantage, slipping his tongue into the warm cavern of her mouth to taste the addicting sweetness there. He wasn’t gentle in his exploration. He was demanding, forceful, and unforgiving in his hunger, tugging her closer, pressing her against him to feel every inch of her, while remaining conscious of her delicate condition.

Elijah was lost to his desires then, craving more and more of her delicious flavor until he was drowning in it.

And to his own surprise, it seemed it was much the same for Eternity as well. For a brief second, she had been rigid and tense when he had first kissed her. However, she quickly melted against him, her body relaxed and at ease with her hands coming up to cup his head, her fingers threading through his hair as she readily reciprocated.

They battled for dominance, one hunger trying to subdue the other, each just as lost to desire that had spontaneously popped up between them.

💕At the Mikaelson Christmas Party💕

“Good evening,” Elijah said to the pair, once he was near, just as the music and camaraderie picked back up around them. He held out his hand to Jackson, which the other man grasped with a firm grip and a tense smile of his own, “Welcome to my family’s celebration.”

“Hello, Elijah,” Jackson greeted as warmly as he dared, given the natural animosity between their respective peoples. “Looks like quite the turn out again this year. Though that is to be expected since you are the leader of the city and nobody would dare to deny you the opportunity to remind everyone of that fact.”

Elijah frowned deeply at the backbiting way the wolf alpha spoke, but chose to ignore him since it would do him little good to put him in his place in front of Eternity. Instead, he forced the polite smile back into place and nodded, “Yes, although my family and I much rather see our gatherings as more of a reminder to everyone of the peaceful coexistence we all agreed to five years ago, when we returned to this glorious city.”

Jackson smirked and went to say more, but never got the chance.

Eternity intervened quickly with a smile at Elijah, but it lacked the warmth it once had for him. In fact, he’d say it was just as tense and unpleasant as her werewolf suitor’s.

“Elijah…,” Eternity tried again, her voice closer now, just shy of being next to him.

It was here that Elijah finally made his move.

In a flash, he had Eternity’s throat in his grip with her shoved harshly against the nearest wall, her body connecting to the unforgiving surface with a loud thud. He pressed his body into hers, pinning her.

Elijah’s dark, fury filled eyes observed her, the scent of blood accompanying the sight of streaks of crimson that covered her pale flesh as well as her formal dress she still wore. It was evidence that the deed was done, that Leo Rivera was dead and the threat, therefore, extinguished.

Yet, he didn’t give a damn about that. Not right now.

💕Elijah’s Turmoil💕

The very desire to make contact with the ethereal beauty was quite disturbing, as much so as every other thought and feeling and desire he had in regards to his brother’s wife.

It was wrong.

He was wrong.

Yet, it felt so right.

Why?

Why did it have to feel right?

“Good evening, Elijah,” greeted Eternity as she faced the party, much in the same way Rebekah had just moments before, informally watching the partygoers below them. “You certainly know how to put on a party, if I do say so myself.”

“Well, I did have help,” Elijah smiled lopsidedly, mirroring her in watching the guests below. “It’s truly amazing what the magic of an otherworldly queen can pull off.”

Eternity laughed lightly, “Aye. I suppose having friends in high places has it’s perks.”

“It does,” he nodded resolutely.

Then impulse got the better of Elijah and he held out his hand to the lady without looking at her, “Care to dance, Your Majesty?”

💕A Stroll Through the French Quarter💕

Eternity eyed him with a certain level of scrutiny, “Sure you say that about one of your children, but not your fellow founding fathers and mother. If it were Nik or Rebekah or even Kol being put down, you would certainly not be so nonchalant about such a slaying. Still as elitist as ever, I see.”

Elijah shot her a lopsided grin and unapologetically replied, “Of course.”

Instead of getting upset by his continued embracing the title of elitist, Eternity surprised him by smiling and shaking her head at him, “Why am I not surprised? You would still hold to such flawed belief.”

“And you still believe that I should care about my ‘children’, as you call them,” he replied, almost teasingly.

“Aye, I do,” she nodded sincerely, her tone gentle and understanding. “Yet, I doubt that I’ll be able to convince you of such, no more than I was able to two centuries ago. So, I shall refrain from the attempt, as it would be in vain.”

Elijah didn’t say anything rose on the matter, as there was nothing more to say. At least, not without risking staring an argument that he didn’t want.

Instead, he simply invited Eternity to carry on with their stroll, which grew more interesting as the French Quarter began to come to life under the early morning sun as it peaked out over the rooftops.
