And secondly: Does Alonso always call Max that? Because I feel like Alonso is more free to show affection than other drivers.

in the search history universe, Fernando frequently calls Max a lion, but he always does it the same way you would call a puppy a big scary dog- it's fond and definitely not serious lol.

in the famiglia universe, he actually calls Max a duckling 😭 or occasionally baby chick, when Max was younger and had the post-hospital fuzzy buzzcut thing going on. (He continues to call Max duckling even when Max is a grown adult and they're working on a team together.)

They have a surprisingly close bond in both universes- although the closest I've ever written the two of them is the garage universe. not that you guys would know that because I haven't posted it yet lmao
