PERFORMANCE: THE ARSE SPEAKS, PRESENTED BY A CONSTRUCTED WORLD
Date: 5 March 2016 Time: 2:00 Location: Heide III: Central Galleries
The diverse characters that populate A Constructed World’s universe return for a performative lecture, The Arse Speaks. Artists Geoff Lowe and Jacqueline Riva have worked together as A Constructed World since 1993, and form the core of this well-known international art collective. Their performances typically include elements of conversation, speech, philosophical texts, music, singing and failed telepathy. Their surprising and unorthodox performances question ‘who are we speaking to and what can be said?’ feeding into their research into forms of address and reception.
