Wilson: If you had to pick between either Rough or WX-78 to live, which would you pick?

Pupson looks at this ask with horror. “How dare you… How dare you! You can’t ask me to choose! You can’t!”

He continues ranting, repeating himself frequently. In his mind he tries to test whether he could choose, if he had to. War breaks out in his mind. Neither side can make much ground. Yes, WX was without empathy but he could never betray them. There was more to the robot then that. And Rough, oh he hadn’t known him long but the precious child had made such an impression on him.

His ability to speak breaks down as emotion begins to surface. Why did he let himself get so worked up about this? It was just a question. Too late. He’d already started to cry. The children were his pack… He was mentally incapable of choosing and even the thought was deeply distressing.

Rough rushes to comfort their daddy as WX looked on. The robot had been sure Gearish would sacrifice them. They’d have been extremely displeased if Rough was chosen as the sacrifice… It was touching that he couldn’t choose. WX starts cooking bacon and eggs. They weren’t good at comfort but they could cook Gearish his favourite.
