"Kid...you clearly aren't doing so hot. Where's home for you?"
"Somewhere else in the city. Fuck does it matta ta you, huh? You got ya own shit ta sort out."
"You've always had friends in the underground, kid. There's still room for you down there."
"The hell I do. Half the ma-fuckas down there wanted me dead. Fuckin' King Asgore was really 'bout ta body a seventh kid jest ta break the barria. I see any one of 'em that tried ta murk me, it's on sight."
"Only reason I ain't smoke yo' ass is 'cause you was one a' the only ma-fuckas smart enough ta keep ya distance. You rememba what sort a' state I left ya brotha in?"
Silence from the skeleton. If he weren't a skeleton, he surely would have shifted his ever-present smile into a frown. "I tried my best to tell him that fighting you wasn't a good idea. He wouldn't listen. I figured letting you two hash it out was the best thing I could do."
"So you stayed behind in the sidelines, not doin' a goddamn thang. Now cut the shit. What are you here for?"
The skeleton closed his eyesockets. "Toriel asked about you. She misses you. We all do."
"You can miss me with that bullshit, Sans. If all a' them miss me, why the hell they all try ta kill me? Y'all acted like I was the reason Asriel got murked the first time. All I was tryna do was leave that place. Soon as I told 'er that, she flipped shit, rememba?"
"Kid...tons of us have never seen a human in our lives. You know what happened—"
"I don't give a fuck. All that shit y'all had goin' on, that didn't involve me!"
"Sergio." The skeleton's voice got more stern. "Tell me what's been going on. Do you feel guilty about having to kill Asriel?"
"Why would I feel guilty? It was eitha him or me."
"Taking someone's life takes a lot out of you, kid, self-defense or otherwise."
"How you know?" Sergio stared down Sans in his eye sockets, his gaze cold steel. "Like I said, you wasn't there when I fought the ma-fucka. It was all me at the end a' the day. Look, tell everybody in that damn undaground not ta come anywhere near me. They don't fuck wit me, I don't fuck wit them. We maintain that, we square."
Sans sighed. "You're running, kid. You feel guilty about what you had to do to free us all. You shouldn't. Asriel's...Asriel's alive."
