What's a good way to find a beta if you dont have any writer friends?
oh i might not be the best person to answer this but
if you're in any discord servers with writers, i'd say try asking there, but i'll assume that's off the table if you're asking me.
the only way i can see this working is making a post here on tumblr looking for betas. if your work is a fanfiction tag the fandom, tag the word beta as well, maybe tag writing as well, and go from there. if you're lucky someone will answer.
what kind of beta work are you looking for is important as well. someone doesn't need to be a writer to be a beta. you know. if you're just looking for someone to read your stuff and give their opinion, just any friend who is willing is good. if you actually want someone to "correct" your work tho i would understand why you'd be looking for someone who writes to do it ig. always specify what kind of beta you're looking for. i know there's like specific names i think? but idk them either lol
either way maybe try asking other people as well? they might have better answers.
