#so here’s the thing:#there are really five LONG show piece scenes of mementos—#a wedding and its aftermath #an opera and its private aftermath #an opera and its public (and private) aftermath #a parade #and a vision #which is not to say the rest isn’t deeply deeply essential and glorious #but these five events are... written slightly larger than the rest of it #which is all to say #the continuing fistfight with the deceased poet of some renown

Every June it's Pride and every June it feels fake because my city celebrates Pride at the start of August, and as a result it doesn't feel like Pride Season™️ until the end of summer.

However, a beautiful side effect of my city having Pride in an entire different season is that some big corporations will put up their pride decorations in June for pride month, but they're obviously not going to take them down in July 2-3 weeks before Pride because that makes no sense, so that rainbow McDonalds is probably here to stay until early September

#pride is the beginning of autumn to me #autumn is the season for pride #its literally 20-28C here this past week #a parade #IN THIS WEATHER #Nay #home of phobic #august will always be pride month to me #my city will not be decked out in rainbows til maybe mid july #and then it will stay that way until maybe september or october
