Unlike the GOOD and CANONIC endings, in the BAD ending Amicia gives up completely.
De Rune, broken, unable to kill or save Hugo, or accept her future without him, she decides to end her journey with him.
Approaching her brother, Amicia asks Lucas to end this once and for all. Something similar to the concept of Romeo and Juliet. Lucas, unable to reason with the girl, has no choice but to fulfill his last request and kill his only family.
Hugo and Amicia die together: the sister, as promised, did not abandon her brother.
Lucas is forced to remain alone with the awareness of himself as a murderer of those whom he loved most.
So that the young man does not end up in the worst possible way, Sofia takes him under her wing.
As soon as Sofia (with the help of Lucas) heals her broken leg, they go to the mountains to bury the ashes of Hugo and Amicia near the De Rune estate.
After this, Sofia takes Lucas on a trip to ease the grief of their loss (and becomes a maternal figure for him).
On this journey, Lucas, with the help of Sofia, learns a lot, grows up and strives to accept the heavy burden of loneliness and awareness of himself as a murderer. Their long journey is comparable to the circle of healing and rebirth of Samsara.
Many years later, Lucas returns to the grave of Amicia and Hugo to finally let them go and say goodbye.
The moral of the story (in my subjective opinion) remains the same: accepting loss and change, as well as healing after it, but in contrast to those who could neither accept nor heal.
