Bet you didn't expect there to be a horror game centered around flowers.

While I'm hard pressed to praise this game for its storytelling (that lacked any semblance of subtlety and was incredibly heavy-handed), I will talk about some aspects of the game that I did enjoyment

Masahiro Ito doesn't miss when it comes to unsettling character designs. The cherry blossom was as unnerving as it was beautiful. The low fps movements added a nice touch of unease surrounding it.

Story wise... well, it's no silent hill 2, but towards the ending, the gane leans into the MCs childhood of experiencing generational trauma. That portion of the games story switching to a lower POV was the type of subtle psychological tricks I would expect from silent hill and was clever storytelling! Learning more about where the MCs need for validation and attention stems from, connecting it to the present, is good storytelling.

Connecting the dots of MCs fears paralleling her mother's fear of losing her man, realizing generational trauma is a circle that the MC couldn't escape from, the mothers insistence that she's a "good mom unlike her own mother" is peak horror to me.

Part of me wishes this were longer, that it had time to drop the schlock and tell a horror story about the cycle of abuse and a more condemnable act than just hiding a notebook in a locker.

Overall- needed way more environmental story telling over the poor voice acting and suicide holiness flashed on screen 5 times!

Implication is powerful! Please use it!

To the people who have autism, please know that you are loved no matter what. All your quirks and habits are what make you, well you. Remember, that it's okay to go mask off and not hide it, yes, it's hard because some people don't understand it, there still others who do, and that you are never alone when dealing with the moments that less than favorable to you. Let us continue to grow and learn more about ourselves, let us help others who may not fully understand it and uplift those who feel that they are alone because they have autism.

My words may seem all over the place, but, I felt that maybe I should write from the heart, I truly hope that this message makes you feel at least a little bit happy or loved, because that is what I want for you all, to be happy and not feel that you are alone.
