A freelance journalist encounters inconsistencies in a cover story of an award-winning reporter.
Based on the real-life story from 2018 of German journalist Claas Relotius who invented a number of high-profile news stories.
The decision to turn it into it an exaggerated farce is a good one. But the way it's presented here, there's just not enough plot to fill a feature film. And the added family story strand feels distracting.
It's a funny movie. But it's no Schtonk.
