New to a too: Norse Projects
In recent years, Scandinavian brands have been the champions of well made, functional, timeless clothing. A fairly new addition to this growing contingent is Danish brand Norse Projects. The concept of Norse Projects began with the opening of the multi-brand 'Norse store' in Copenhagen, 2004. Valuing quality, functionality, and subtle luxury above all else, the store was an instant success amongst fans of high-quality garments. Five years later - in 2009, the brand Norse Projects was launched, capturing the essence of the store's values. We are very proud to be one of a handful of stores in the UK to carry this year's Spring/Summer collection.
The tag on each Norse Projects piece carries the phrase 'the mark of true luxury is not the grand gesture, but the simple things done well'. Far more than a throwaway line, this sentiment is expressed throughout the whole range. The fabrics are softer than ever, with silk and angora blends making a welcome appearance in the knitwear. Shorts, trousers, and short-sleeved shirt cuffs conceal colourful contrast trims, perfect for the wearer who likes to roll everything up in the warmer seasons. Also, always a fan of ever so subtle details, I especially liked the 3-hole buttons on some of the shirts, with the stitching forming a triangular pattern. See below for photos of the collection.
