ok so fullmetal alchemist is the best thing to ever be created by human beings and I can’t get this out of my head so here’s some of the reasons why:

written by a Japanese woman!!

original intriguing characters/plot linesthat actually make sense and come together in such a brilliantly thought out way

has appealing personality aspects and physical character designs for every character

regardless of the large amount of characters added in throughout the series u can still clearly distinguish and enjoy aspects of every one of them

there are actual consequences from the characters actions!!!!

the characters actually physically (and mentally) age!!!!

is very aware of atmospheric timing on when to be dark/sad and when to insert comedy

the villains are brilliantly consistent in their power/aim and actually make u worried for the fates of the goodies

action sequences r awesome!!!

so many strong badass women that aren’t sexualised!!!!

women who aren’t just made to be the men’s love interest!!!!!

perfectly showcases how counties/races (ishval/xing/amestris) should/can love one another and can work together

(very small but I loved how the automail person/man winry worked with dressed as a woman and I believe could be trans/non binary??? and it was never mentioned or made fun of just. it’s great)

anti war!!!!!

the ending leaves u feeling incredibly satisfied and warm without disregarding the reality of what happens throughout the series

and these are just a few reasons why nothing will ever come close to perfection as fma/b:)

not to be dramatic but nothing will ever come close to perfection like fullmetal alchemist. there’s an original intriguing plot, it manages to give all its characters their own stories/likability and morales/beliefs regardless of the multitude of them, characters age naturally and mature throughout, is aware of when to add comic relief at the perfect times, plot is unpredictable, the ending is perfectly satisfying, badass action sequences, badass females.. we stan forever.

it's a damn travesty that it has taken me this long to draw one of my all time favourite characters (ʘ‿ʘ✿) i suppose this is her regular ol' soldier days, before she got promoted to any type of high ranking position.
