I want to get drunk with you
Yes, please. I’ll check with Remus, but dear god, I haven’t gotten drunk since before Katie showed up and a night out sounds good.

I never thought I’d actually appreciate a woman leaving her bra hanging from appliances.

Unsent: I can understand Remus wearing my shirt. I do not understand why you’re wearing my shirt. I don’t even know which one of us you stole it from.Unsent: So is Ringo just not allowed at the flat or something? Mornings seem like they’d be easier if Ringo came with you.Unsent: Did you seriously just leave a note on the empty carton of milk you put back in the fridge? Did you at least tell Peter? Unsent: I found a bra shoved down between the couch cushions and oddly enough, I have the knowledge required to gather that it’s yours and not Erika’s, so I’ve sanitized the couch. I don’t think we’re allowed to traumatize her and if this is about us going shopping without you, I said I was sorry.Unsent: Look, you can lie to yourself about being casual, but don’t lie to me when you spent all of dinner making eyes across the table, jesus christ.Sent: Wait, so did anyone sleep at the flat last night besides Erika?

juniper.
Juniper is fucking excellent, okay? She is very nearly my first friend I made here and we clicked immediately. I can’t say that I’ve ever met anyone else that I can discuss linguistics with, like what kind of ice breaker is that? But Juniper’s great, she’s good to have a beer with, she’s good to swap stories with when you need a laugh, she’s fucking sassy when you need a partner to snark with and you can count on her when you need help with a project, like painting or babysitting. Full points for her, okay, I adore her. She’s one of my people, as far as I”m concerned.

“Junipeeeeeeer. Hey, so, this is going to be a weird message for you to hear tomorrow, right? Because we’re at the pub! And you probably think I’m calling Remus and I did, of course I did, but I wanted to leave you a message, too, because we might be too drunk to remember this tomorrow. But thanks. You are a fucking fantastic friend and I love your snark and I think I needed this and didn’t know it. You and I, remember when we met, at the Yule Ball? You and I would have fucking laughed ourselves sick at thinking we’d end up like this, me with a boyfriend and a baby and a cat and you with a love interest and a dog and jesus fuck, can I just call him your boyfriend already, I mean come on, we both know he’s something, but anyway... this is... this is fucking surreal that this is our life, right? And you helped me fix up my home and I swear to god, I don’t care what country or continent I’m in, one day I’ll repay the favor, you hear me? We’re gonna grow old and be fucking domestic and laugh at each other about it, right? Right. Okay, so... I need another beer, so I’ll see you in just a minute.”

“Yeah, I guess that’s a good way of putting it.”
