The exchanges between Cristina and Teddy regarding her future, whether it was at Seattle Grace or elsewhere, had mostly been lighthearted and quite amusing. In a way, it seemed like they were both using sarcasm and humor to deflect that it was a possibility that Teddy wasn’t going to be her mentor anymore and Cristina wasn’t going to be her protege. In the eight years she had spent in Seattle, there was no one more present and inspiring as Teddy. It was true that she would do anything for her mentor. “I know. A lot of people say that, but you’re the only one who’s truly shown it through your actions and mentorship. I value that a lot.”
