The words, echoed in the walls of the public restroom, took her quite by surprise, and with good reason. To begin, Wheein felt that she was the only one in the building. On top of that, she hadn’t used the restroom for its typical purpose - she and rapper Moonbyul, one of her members, had been out the afternoon in search of a good place to have lunch. However, something had put their plans on hold.
That something just happened to be a text from their manager, stating that something was wrong at the dorm, and that if the two knew what was good for them, they’d be back as soon as possible.
So she retired to the restroom for a moment to calm herself, taking several deep breaths to soothe whatever anxiety about the situation that the virulent text withdrew from her. With shaky hands, she managed to muster up a reply of, “Ok, I’ll be there in 5.”
It was then that she heard the sound of another female, and also then that she immediately felt quite self-conscious. Did she hear me freaking out in here? Oh God, she did.. She definitely did.. Ok, this is so embarrassing… After several moments of mental chastising, she finally remembered to do the reasonable thing and respond to the woman.
Attempting to suppress whatever shakiness may be in her voice, she replied, “No worries.. this one’s got plenty!” And with that, she slips a folded segment of the toilet paper roll underneath the wall of the stall separating them.
