Aaaa! I had a semi-vision, but I think I need some fashion tips! 🤭

There's that one fairly new NECA set with the '87 Turtles wearing "bodacious" beachwear, and I mean.. look at that top hat-wearing Leo how cool Raph looks 😆

But it got me thinking what would Mona wear to the beach since the two definitely deserve a beach holiday / date together 🤔 I kinda like the fact that the turtles are wearing more clothes than they normally do so maybe she has the same thing going on? Not sure about the kind of swimsuit she'd have since she already has that yellow "leotard" pattern on her front.. maybe a hip wrap? A big ol' hat, too? Colorwise I guess pink should be present, but all in all something 80s ☝️🤓 Do you have any beachwear ideas for her? 🏖️

Ooo! One thing for sure she would have one of those big ass straw beach hats on! As for her actual beach outfits, here’s some fashion ideas I vibe with for 87 Mona Lisa!

Pink is her favorite color so that would probably be her go to for the beach as well. I think also a red bathing suit would be cute to match with Raph. I can also see her wearing a sarong wrap skirt or dress to cover herself up if needed, and for a little more to the outfits maybe a tropical flower in her hair as well!

Random thoughts out of the blue, especially since I haven't touched Shredder's Revenge in so long, but...

...Who took the photo of those two? 🥺 It doesn't look like a selfie.. I think?? April or Mikey, maybe? 🤔 Unless they walked past a photo booth and snuck in while no one was looking (not sure how many would have pink backgrounds, but.. 🤭)

I’m going to headcanon that April took that picture. I can imagine the turtles and all their friends were hanging out at the lair one night for a pizza/movie night and April was taking photos of the night and she noticed those too being all lovey dovey towards each other, so she snapped the shot, Raph was embarrassed, but Mona Lisa asked for a copy of that photo XD

Sidenote, I am so happy that shredder’s revenge acknowledged Raphael x Mona Lisa in someway in the game. The fact that she keeps a cute nose boop picture of her and Raph means so much to me.

Fun fact! The “you live in a toilet” joke was inspired by Venus in Ninja Turtles: Next Mutation who referred to the Turtles home as a toilet. I thought it was so funny and also very 2012 Mona Lisa coded, so I decided to include it in the WWC rewrite XD

I had a look at that '12 oneshot of yours where Mona was exposed to those fashion magazines. Mona, no, don't do that to yourself..! (｡•́︿•̀｡) I'm not sure if you've answered this in the past, but what else would they be doing during those girls' nights, besides making an alien question her looks? 🙈 Comparing who defeated the biggest foe, watching movies and so on? Despite a bad start, I could kind of picture Shinigami taking Mona as a playful challenge since she's pretty much their first alien friend and try some clothes to see what would suit her physique and complexion, "To surprise Raph next time you see him" 🤭 I don't know if they even can paint her nails (do Salamandrians have nails?), but maybe a reverse makeover and the girls paint spots similar to Mona's on themselves? 😆

First girls night certainly didn't go as they planned, but it was never their intention to make Mona Lisa feel insecure about her looks. Shinigami just brought the magazines to look at for fun, unknown to any of the girls that it would result in Mona questioning her appearance. They would all apologize but Mona would assure them that she never would blame them and that Raph cheered her up.

Other activities they would do on their girls night, I actually made a skit one time where April hosts a sleepover and all their girls keep suggesting crazy things like using an Ouija board to summon a demon (Shini's idea), enter an intergalactic tournament (Mona's idea), traveling back in time to watch the meteor kill the dinosaurs (Renet's idea), etc. They'd also do typically girls night things like gossiping, doing each others hair and makeup, and play sleepover games. I do have a WIP oneshot of the girls playing truth or dare, don't know if I'll ever finish it, it's more of just me playing around with their dynamics.

Now, funny you mention Shinigami and Mona Lisa, I actually headcanon that Shini sees Mona as her own little "passion project". Once Mona starts living on Earth, Shini takes it upon herself to teach Mona the ropes when it comes to style and fashion, helping her select her wardrobe now that she's living on Earth. Then when asked what her usual style is on her home planet, Mona reveals that she only ever wore her armor her whole life, she's never had a style or sense of fashion because she worn the exact same thing everyday for her entire life, and this causes Shinigami to have a heart attack.

And yes, Shinigami would defiantly help Mona Lisa pick out outfits to surprise Raph with on their date nights. She'd find the best looks, dresses and makeup that complements Mona that would leave Raph star struck!

Yet another thought came to me, regarding that '87 oneshot of yours 🤭 Was thinking what would be the epilogue of an epilogue, aka what happened after their date ("A date??!! Amagawd!!") was over 🤔

Would Mona be doing some late night reading / studying, or too busy giggling as she's admiring the rose and maybe grab a bunch of photos with her Turtlecom.. OR maybe she calls Raph asap even though they just went home? 😆

Meanwhile as soon as Raph's back at the lair..

- 🔵🟣🟠 "So....? Did anything happen?" - 🔴 "Nope, nothing happened." - 🔵🟣🟠 "Reaaaaally? And you mean it wasn't a date?" - 🔴 "Definitely wasn't a date, as I suspected. Just a free meal." - 🔵🟣🟠 "Suuuuuuuure~!"

Before we get to the question, THAT DEXTER MEME CRACKED ME UP! XDD I was in the middle of my break when I first read your asks and I had to hold in my laugh cause it threw me off lolol

Anyways, to your question! How I imagine the epilogue of my 87 RaMona fanfic My Treat! to go is that after Raphael escorts Mona Lisa back home. Once home, Mona would spend her evening gushing to Mondo (he's her bestie/roommate) about the date and how silly she felt in the beginning for not realizing it was a date. We'd even learn that Mondo knew she was walking into a date but didn't say anything cause he thought it be funnier if she "figure it our on (her) own".

When Raph return back to the lair, I do imagine that his brothers and even Splinter are all waiting for him in the living room, looking at him like that Dexter meme. Raph just stares at them blankly and ask why everyone's still up so late, and his family proceed to attack him with questions on how his date with Mona Lisa went. Raph shrugs, playing it cool and only telling them "It was fine, we got some food then saw a movie." and walks to his room. His brothers follow him, asking follow up questions:

Donnie: What movie did you see? Did you wrap your arm around her?? Leo: Did you two kiss?! Who initiated it?! Mikey: Is Mona Lisa your girlfriend now?! Are you guys dating?!

All Raph does is give a teasing smirk, thanks his brothers for the advice, and closes his bedroom door, leaving his brother unsatisfied with their unanswered questions. For Splinter however, he just smiles. His son said only a few words but he was able to piece together the whole story. His son Raphael has a girlfriend now and he's in love.

Late night ideas that help me sleep, I guess 🤭 Was reminded that An Extremely Goofy Movie turned 26 and it has some amazing dance scenes! Made me think how 2012's Raph keeps showing some impressive dance moves, so...

Do you think he taught Mona some moves early on (unless she already knew how to dance 🤔)? At the same time I kept thinking how the gang would probably be more into something a bit more modern, but then she'd take a liking to 80s and/or 70's disco (I'll never get tired of the 'advanced hi-tech alien liking "old world" things' trope) 😆

No stopping them once they hit the dance floor! 🦎🪩🐢

LOLOL DISCO IS NEVER DEAD!!

I do like the idea of Raph and Mona Lisa’s dance type to be disco but for me my headcanon is that there dance style is tango! My inspiration for this is the dance scene in Another Cinderella Story

I actually have a headcanon about Mona and dancing that she does know how to. On her planet, dancing isn’t really a thing they do, it’s seen as juvenile, so Mona never partook in it. Then on Earth, the Turtles are throwing a party and everyone is dancing and Raph notices that Mona is just standing to side watching, so he to her and offers for her to dance with him, but she tells him she doesn’t/cann’t dance. Raph decides to teach her how to dance and though there’s a few moments of stepping on each other’s toes and tripping over her tail, eventually they get the hang of it and are in perfect sync.

ASDFGHJK Idk why but the first one kinda goes into the joke that a lot of fans who are unfamiliar with 87 Mona Lisa assume she’s a turtle when she’s actually a salamander/lizard, so Shredder mistaking Mona Lisa as the 5th Turtles is hilarious to me XD

Also the idea that Raph and Mona just kiss each other to annoy Shredder during their victory is also hilarious lolol

LOLOL I was kinda thinking of that scene when writing that moment in the fanfic. Respect to Mondo Gecko for shooting his shot, but that lovely alien girl is already taken. I always headcanon that Mondo Gecko would hit on Mona Lisa, so I always see if I can incorporate that HC of mine into my fanfics.

And yes! I knew that cliffhanger would hit many with the feels! So much has happened this chapter and I can’t wait to share with all what will come next!
