you  felt  nothing   /   all  it  did  was  leave  a  hole  in  your  chest.

The black hedgehog inside the store grabbed a few items from the shelves, mostly food, and shoved them into a couple grocery bags. He had long since blinded the cameras and was able to freely roam the store without fear. Sauntering over to the check out, he grabbed another grocery bag and started to steal some cash. “And this is for me.” He said smugly as he crammed as much cash into the bag as he could. He then rushed the door, dived into the shadow and leapt back out on the other side. “Heh. That will never get old.” He said, stroking his own ego.

“He made sure to check his surroundings for police cars or civilians before rushing out of the parking lot and onto the sidewalk. Once he was out of range of the cameras, he uncovered them. It was like he was never there. It was only then that he felt like he was being watched. Whipping his head around, the thief tried to spot whomever had been watching him. Since he couldn’t see anyone he opted to just run down the street to try and get away from them. Besides, he had a delivery to make and he was carrying frozen food.

“ I know I put those scrolls somewhere around here. I got almost skewered by a hail of arrows trying to recover these and... “ He tried to recall where he put those, he remembered being tired and soaked wet, using his body to protect those papers from the rain as he made his way back to his refuge in the forest.

He hadn’t slept for days that time, and so his memory wasn’t the best but, he was sure he hid them behind his tea equipment, or at least in that same cabinet.

All of this thinking and searching didn’t give him the opportunity to realize he was exposing himself a bit to his opportunistic friend and guest, as he remained in that bent position mostly rambling to himself.
