Lux is promptly swept off her feet and lifted up in the air as Azir returns the hug. He is careful, oh so careful as he  practically curls around her and some of the tension seems to finally leave his shoulders.

A rather small package arrived at the young Crownguard’s home, not wrapped, but still concealed what was to be a small unbroken geode that was about the size of her palm and a card on top of it.

‘Hope Snowdown finds you well.  To open, just stuff it into an sack and use a hammer.  Or, if you’re bored and need to get some frustration out, smack it on the ground.  Found it around the Freljord.  Ryze.’

Azir is silent for a long time and hesitates as he speaks."Of course. But it is of little importance." He stumbles on the last words, the spell compelling him to speak more, but no. That is enough said.Not a lie, but not the whole truth either.

[He treats her like a granddaughter would his granddaughter.  Occasional treats and old stories of adventures.  I mean...]

Being as old as he is, Ryze looks to Lux and does try to at least give her the right amount of respect she deserves for her age and experience, but sometimes, he forgets that and often times ends up going too soft and avoids most serious subjects when speaking with her.  

Now, seeing as they don’t really travel together, it would be safe to assume that they meet around Demacia or some Demacian friendly locations, such as Piltover or neutral territories.  They’d trade everyday stories and maybe Lux would try to get the old man to show her something new, whether it’s magic or even something he might have found in a far off land.  Even ask about his past.

Of course, he does see Lux as a good friend, still innocent and sweet due to age.  Over time, he would maybe consider teaching her a bit more about his magic, but for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

      Ekko continues to walk through the streets of Piltover, seemingly unfazed by all the stares and suspicion his presence earn him. Despite the clear, nonchalant confidence he displays with every step, Ekko’s wearing a neutral and almost RESERVED facial expression  - as if he recognizes he’s not welcome here, yet refuses to pretend to be someone he’s not. Being intimidated has never been a problem for him, and if people are going to perceive him as a dangerous individual regardless of what he does, then he might as well do whatever the hell he wants and just have some FUN with it. 

      Pilties are way too boring to get his full attention anyway... Their hometown, however, has some redeeming qualities; and so, the inventor ventures further into the city he hates so much, with his neck bent at a slight angle as he STUDIES the nearest clock tower.

Ryze doesn’t like giving up if there’s any sliver of a chance things can turn around, but, more often than not, there are hopeless cases that just can’t be reasoned with.  It’s not so much as giving up as waiting till a better day comes around and that does sometimes take years to do.  But, there is one thing he has completely given up on and that is a stable relationship.  As much as he cares for people, getting close to anyone or letting one stay around for a long period of time is nearly impossible when most have been mortal.  Even now, he still hold that fear pretty deep in his being.
