*What inspires you to write?*

Honesty Hour || Accepting

Sometimes it starts with an idea. Or the seed of one. Which then goes to my partner or partners, to see if anyone else is interested in it. And then that gets fluffed and folded and stretched like dough until the idea becomes a plot. And a plot becomes a post or two or a million.

A lot of inspiration does come from the replies I receive, the joy of building from what’s been handed to me. That I think more than anything is what gives me life. Other people’s posts also have the ability to kill my enthusiasm as well. I put a lot of effort and thought into things and when I consistently get very little in return, then no matter how much I am keen to do things, that enthusiasm can wane.

I do prefer multi-para and novella posts, short single para and single sentence stuff doesn’t work for me well. I also don’t do well when I feel like I am having to carry the whole thing on my own.

Other things that inspire me: Music! Songs set the mood and the stage. Mun to Mun interactions! Some of the best and worst stories I’ve helped tell/write comes from an off hand comment or joke that takes on it’s own life. Art, whether it’s traditional or digital, whether it’s of the muses or just a vibe. Stories from history and myth and fiction.

But I kind of feel that if you love writing, and you love sharing stories and creating them with others, anything can be inspiring. And sometimes, it’s the muses themselves. One of my partners sent me a meme once, without us ever having interacted. And after going through several bouts of ‘are they just fucking with me?’ or ‘what do I do? this is AWKWARD’, the muse pulls me aside, tells me it’s not that complicated and clearly the ask was not directed at me but at her, because she knew all about their previous history and their existing relationship and it was my fault for not having asked her in the first place. And everything flowed so easily and so perfectly from that point on. And thank you so much for asking!

It was a spur of the moment type of thing, but he wasn’t going to regret licking the sauce of her finger for a second. “Oh no, please don’t. I like your finger much better than a spoon.” Finn grinned, showing a glimpse of just how much of a tease he could be when he was feeling well.

What’s your muse’s least favorite food?

Tasteless food. David hates greasy, soggy fast foods that taste like, well, grease. A sponge soaked with grease. Yuck! Obviously, he likes burgers and fries etc. (because who doesn’t?) and you'll even find them on one of his restaurant’s menu, but it’s more like a red wine burger with camembert and caramelized red onions kind of cheeseburger... ;)
