The blonde ran into the woods with feet as fast that would carry, ducking and weaving between tall grass and bushes, heading further into the cover of the trees. As she moved through, she almost missed the sound of her name cutting through the air. Immediately, her legs locked in place as she waited to hear it again. Chest heaving, trying to hold onto a breath, she twirled around and prayed to hear her name called again, by not just anyone but her love, Sihtric.
"Sasha"
The sound of her name from his lips caused her to drop to her knees. He was here...he was really here.
Foolishly, she needed to remind herself to respond, "Sihtric....Sihtric....I'm here." She'd yelled so loud that birds evacuated and scattered from the branches above. The woman pleaded with the gods that he would respond, and she wasn't just suffering from a delusion.
It was then she heard the rapid approach of footsteps pushing through the forest, and she turned to the side to catch sight of him exploding through the treeline in a full run. Quickly, she stood up and began to move forward, and did not stop until she collapsed in his arms. Wrapping around him so tightly she worried she'd steal the breath from him.
Through soft cries, all she could express was, "The gods answered me. They answered me." Resting her cheek on his shoulder as tears collected there.
@adsagsona
While he always had faith in the gods and their meaning for him, but while he was on his way to find Sasha, he was trying to find a way to reconcile with them. Whatever needs be, he had to find his love again. There was no way that she would not survive, he would get there in time and kill the...
And then he heard her. Sithric stopped dead in his tracks and looked around. He called her again and then dismounted and stormed through bushes on his way to find Sasha. HIs dagger in hand, he was just careful enough as she wrapped her arms tightly around him.
"I'm here, I'm here." He whispered as he held her close. His eyes were searching the surroundings. "Is he close?" Sihtric was sure that Wilhelm was on his way towards her unless she had managed to disarm him in some manner.
"Sasha... is he close?" Sihtric asked more urgently, even if he didn't let go of her.

It warmed her heart to hear that she brought some clarity to his life. While she'd always thought the idea of soulmates was overly romantic and something found in a storybook, she wondered if it was true. Ross felt like an answer to a question she'd long been wondering about. The bell pulled her attention away from his gaze momentarily, before looking back, "No, I've not a clue." Unwrapping herself from his arms before she began to dress, leaving him to answer the door.
A quick check in the mirror before she exited the room to hear the soft trail of voices down the hall. Closing in, she stopped in the doorway, read Ross's most peculiar body language, and wondered if everything was okay. Waiting until she was acknowledged before she stepped forward and extended a hand, "Hello, I'm Etta. It's lovely to meet you." She wondered what their intention was to be there after surveying Ross.
@adsagsona
Ross actually wanted to tell Etta that the visitor could come by another time. He didn't want to see anyone just now. He was a bit of a recluse if you let him have his way. When Etta went for the front door, Ross stood and made his way over as well. He found a young woman on the other side and his heart began to beat faster. He hadn't seen her in quite some time... not before he went to the US.
"Elizabeth." He whispered as she smiled at Etta.
"Nice to meet you, Etta. My name is Elizabeth." To her credit, Elizabeth smiled as if nothing was wrong and if she wasn't coming over to her ex out of the blue. "I ehm... am married to Ross' cousing Francis. I would like to talk to Ross, if that's ok."

Siliv took the opportunity to teach Caz. Bringing her hand up to her chin, fingers flat against her lips. Then she moved it forward in an arc toward him. She smiled at the end.
Joscelin looked between Caz and Rene once again. The vampire chuckled, “Take the time you can. I know Caz is not from here.”
Joscelin nodded to Rene not expecting the assistance from the vampire and finding he appreciated it greatly.
He spoke in Ellaern for a moment to Rene before bowing his head. Rene bowed his head back.
The Sovereign moved to take Caz’s hand, “It’s alright. Rene said he would tonight. I will just pay him back another time. Would you like to go outside? I realize such a place like this is not somewhere you would rather be.”
Joscelin could show him the gardens and the forest beyond that.
Caz looked attentively at Siliv and mimicked her gestures. "Oh ok... so, thank you." He repeated while he did the gesture once more, and smiled back at Siliv.
He waited for what Joscelin would decide, because it really wasn't his call. He wasn't the one with the responsabilities and children, and a realm to care for. When René told them to go, he stood slowly and squeezed the other's hand softly.
"Yes, I would actually." He nodded when Joscelin asked if he wanted to go outside. While the palace was nice, he already ached to be outside, this was not his realm... but still nature would call to him.
"If you would like to, of course... I'd very much like to see and spend some time together."
“All we ever wanted for one another was to find someone who understood us and accepted us and loved us; we wanted what our parents had,” Cara replied, her tone matching his, “So I know that she would have happily welcomed you into our family, because you have given that love to me.” Then she was telling him how she couldn’t wait to see all of the hard work that he was putting into Nampara pay off, that she was excited to see him relish in his accomplishments, and he rewarded her with a broad smile. She couldn’t help but return it with one of her own as she commented, “That is when you look the most beautiful - when you smile like that. I live for those smiles.” After that, they were greeting Verity, a soft blush appearing on her cheeks at her compliment as she managed to say, “Thank you - just trying to keep up with Captain Wentworth here...” She trailed off as they were ushered inside, giving Ross’ hand a firm squeeze to remind him that she would be there supporting him every step of the way.
"I can understand that." Ross answered when Cara talked about wanting what her parents had. He had seen how his father had acted around his mother and honestly, that was what he would want as well. He never thought it would be meant for him, not after Elizabeth and how that had ended.
When they neared Trenwith and Verity was waiting for them, Ross was relieved. They wouldn't have to do this alone. Verity laughed at Cara's comment about her cousin and Ross just avoided rolling his eyes. "Maybe you could first say hello to Aunt Agatha. She is our great aunt really." She informed Cara. "And she is very curious about the woman who makes Ross so happy."

" Neutral at the moment, Gaius Claudius Glaber, a Pradetor. "
Rico spoke, laughing gently as the man seemed ready for battle. He was right, as there were many enemies hidden in seemingly plain sight, yet one more had made its face known. He was painfully aware that it was not an ally yet, but how big an obstacle they would be come was yet to be seen. He could see the eagle of Rome in his mind, alerting him to the affiliation, yet he would need to find out a bit more.
"However, your blade has me far more interested. Also, the way it feels I doubt that I would get tired of that."
Though the current staffing of the house was small, it held enough people for the amount of time that Ricardo had been there. He was realizing that he may need more staff, but also considered the appointment of a small army nearby. The man was commenting on the state of the home, but with Rico's status, little could be said in earnest. Feeling the man against him, he moaned softly, secretly hoping for an excuse to dismiss his guest and play with hs new soldier/ Gladiator
" Should we greet our guests or stay away a bit longer?"
@adsagsona
"Glaber. Never heard of him." Gannicus answered. Not that it would be a surprise that he didn't. The gladiator had never been into something like politics. He had to fight and win, that was all that mattered. For who, he didn't really care. Or should he say cared, because now of course he wanted to win for Rico, to spend time with him.
He stayed close to the other man because he wanted to, but partly because he felt the need to protect Rico. He probably didn't need it, he was more powerful than anyone Gannicus knew, but the urge was still there. "I believe that you can do anything you like. If you want to keep him waiting, then there is nobody stopping you. Depends on if you want to piss him off or not."
@charmed-redemption
“And that’s obvious,” Sara replied. “One day, it will be obvious to him, too, and he will realize how lucky he is to have you for a dad.” He then commented that he’d had enough excitement. That here, with them, she could just be Sara. That he wanted to get to know Sara. She fell silent for a long beat. “...I don’t know what to do without the excitement or, in my case, the fight. You don’t become what I am without going through a lot, and... It took the person I was, the person I knew and understood, and it left me with...” She trailed off, shaking her head before eventually adding, “I don’t even know who Sara is anymore. I don’t want you to be disappointed.” Because while she did enjoy her time with Caz and Brandon, while she did enjoy the slice of normal they gave her, it wasn’t her normal anymore. The fight had become her normal.
"Let's hope so." Caz answered with a smile. He was just thinking on the type of dad he would have wanted when he was young. Not that he was spoiling Brandon, but he tried to be the best version of himself. When he said he wanted to get to know Sara better and was met with silence, he feared that he had overstepped. "I don't think you could disappoint me. Maybe it's time to get to know this version of you... for you just as much as for us." He answered with a small smile. "I'm not saying that you need to spend all of your days with us. I know that's not possible and you'd probably get bored pretty soon. But if you want to visit once in a while, you're always welcome."
Got a nice screenshot of Mycroft god he's gorgeous
Riley didn't have much planned, mostly just letting their lizards out and sitting on the couch watching something on Netflix. They didn't do well sitting idle though. They hugged Gann back, and murmured, "Stupid shit is my middle name. What else am I gonna do.?" They grabbed a nice double handful of Gann's ass and pulled back with a smirk. "Go on, I'll be fine."
"Easy shit." Gann answered with a smile towards Riley before he rolled his eyes at the grab to his ass. He leaned in to give the other a peck and a wink. "If you're sure." He didn't know why Riley made him say such things, he normally didn't care that much. "Come pay me a visit when you're feeling better, ok? You know where to find me."
The vampire sighed, because in ways, he very much regretted his choices. But he had been in ways tempted by the offer, he was bleeding out and dying. That offer to survive and be immortal had be aluring. He sighed at Mitchell's words.❝ I wouldn't say lucky, even if I chose it, it still was a trap and trick I fell for, that tempation to survive.❞ he nodded a bit.❝ Yes it is tempting and they wanted me for their own gains.❞ he knew that he couldn't let Mr Snow get his way. He wasn''t going to let him win. He was still scared of what would happen if he snapped again. He was worried their wouldn't be a way back.
------------------------------------------------------------------
"Looks like we're in the same boat, huh?" Mitchell asked gently as he looked at the other vampire. While it seemed like Hal was stronger than him, he could feel the same anxiety in the other man. "I understand." The temptation to say yes, let me live, was indeed too much. For him that was strengthened by the feeling of saving someone else. Not that he had, they hadn't kept their promise. "Ok.." He nodded then. "I'll let you help me... and I'll keep an eye on you. We both get something out of it."
To Gil's credit, he made it through the whole movie. But as soon as the credits started rolling, he closed his eyes-just for a second, he told himself-and before he knew it, he was asleep. It was a mark of how safe he felt with the other man, that he was comfortable enough sleeping without curling into his customary defensive ball.
Tristan didn't know how long he had slept and he put it on the medication. He blinked and then noticed that Gil was sleeping next to him. Carefully he sat up and groaned because it wasn't the best posture to sleep in. "Love... Gil?" He gently put a hand on Gil's shoulder. "You'll be sore if you keep sleeping like that." And they probably wouldn't sleep at night in this manner.
As soon as the knife was twisted, and the vetala was a pile of ash on their living room floor, Cara was running back to Ross. She pressed a hand to the bottom of his chin - one of the few spots that didn’t appear to be bloodied or bruised - reassuring him, “I’m fine, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me, let’s focus on you. I don’t want you to move yet. I’m going to cut through the rope, and then I’ll help you up, all right? Walk you over to the couch. We’re going to take things nice and slow, but I need you to stay awake - keep talking to me...” In the back of her mind, she was afraid of what he’d say, of how livid he must be with her, but him staying conscience was more important. So blade in hand, she sliced through the rope that had bound him to the chair, tucking it away on her person again before offering both of her arms to him, “Whenever you’re ready to move, you tell me, and I’ll help you. You put as much of your weight on me as you need to, okay? I can handle it...”
As his chin was tilted up, he could see Cara and relief washed over him. Together with a sense of tiredness and pain, which made him screw his eyes tightly shut. "Not like I can go anywhere." His answer was clipped and his voice rough, but he nodded at her explanation. He couldn't do anything else at this moment but let Cara do this for him. "What in blazing hell was that thing?" He asked as he felt how the rope gave around the chair and he sagged forward, not being able to hold himself up. He took a deep breath and slowly put his hands on the floor, leaning into Cara for support. "Can you just... stop talking. Please. Let me focus." He realised he was snapping but he couldn't help himself. As he turned himself he finally managed to slowly get up, leaning on Cara. Taking another breath he nodded again. "Ready." Ross said, taking a step towards the couch.
Caz seemed overwhelmed, to say the least, and it wasn’t as if Tristan could blame him. He was uprooting his entire life, doing everything to protect his son, who was not only a mutant but an exceptional one at that. It was a lot, and he gestured to one of the chairs, “Why don’t you sit down? Grab a bottle of water, catch your breath. And remember, he’s gonna take his cues from you. So however you respond to all of this, that’s how he’s going to respond, too.” Which was in no way Tristan telling Caz how to parent his own son so much as explaining what he’d witnessed in previous situations like this. Then he was offering Brandon the gummy worms, and couldn’t help but smile at his comment, “Yeah, there’s a lot of different colors in there. What’s your favorite?” And, with Caz’s permission, he passed off the bag to the little boy so that he eat some, who offered some to him and Caz in return, “That’s very nice of you. I like the red ones, do you have any red ones left?”
The only thing constantly going through Caz' mind now was that he was doing this for Brandon. He needed to do this for his son, to make sure that he would get the life he deserved. He took a deep breath and looked up when Tristan started talking to him. He plopped down and searched for water, taking a sip. Lucky for him, Bran didn't seem to care much where they were at the moment. "Hm... I think green." Bran answered Tristan with a smile before he went on munching. He choose a red one to give to Tristan and then offered a blue one to his dad, who accepted it with a wink. "Quite a holiday, hu buddy?" Caz asked his son, sitting him on his lap. "Where are we going, daddy?" The boy asked once more and Caz looked at him. "A road trip.. we'll see so much. You'll have loads of fun, you don't have to go to school for a while." He just hope that they could move on quickly, so that Bran didn't get fussy.
Kate looked down at Jared's words. She knew that, knew that a few young ladies didn't have this talent. However, Kate grew in an environment were expectations were high. If she failed at this matter, her parents would surely show their disappointment towards her. "I know how to read, write, and even speak another language. I received dancing lessons and know also how to ride a horse. My parents ensured I received the proper education."
As she followed him, Kate nodded and walked down the stairs that led to the cellar. It was dusty and certainly not a place were a lady like her should be. However, Kate was definitely willing to prove Jared she wasn't like any other woman. "Alright, then I will start with the red wines on the left. And I will go further with the other ones." She prepared her paper and wrote methodically the categories so they would have everything written clearly on the notebook.
"Good, that is just the person I need to do this." Jared nodded. He knew that Kate came with a high skill level which was usually reserved for men. Young ladies were meant for the marriage market, but she had asked for this herself and he would see to it that she did a good job. In the mean time he could keep an eye on her.
He was impressed that she didn't flinch about being in the basement. The vampire nodded at her method. "Good. I always want five bottles in stock, so please note all that we're missing. Come back to my office when you're done. Did you have a meal prepared for your break?"
