Willie Mays, one of the greatest all-round players of the game, died peacefully today at the age of 93. RIP, Willie 🙏🏼 he was a-mays-ing!!! He made the game great. I'm my opinion, he is the home run king of the SF Giants. Up to today, he was the oldest hall of famer that was still alive. He was inducted in 1979. He was 2 time MVP with the Giants. In 1954, he won the World Series with the Giants. He was a 12 time gold glover and a 24 time all star. He was the rookie of the year in 1951. He did it all. I remember watching him play when I was a kid. I was lucky to see him in person when he played with the Mets at Shea Stadium. My baseball glove had his signature on it and I was very proud of that as a kid. He was a joyful man and a beautiful person. 😍 he was part of the reason that I love this game so much. Thank you, Willie. Thank you for everything that you did on and off the field. There's an extra star in heaven. I know I'll see you twinkling in the night sky. You are missed. You are loved. You are a-MAYS-ing!! Always💜💜💜⚾️
