Yo guys can you help me out
I wrote a very short story for a writing thing I had to do and I was wondering if maybe you could help me by reading it/ giving me feedback. Thank YOU So much if you do. I will love you forever and ever. Love ya have a great night fellow people.
A shadow flashed over the vast ocean. The sun - a small point on the horizon, lowered itself to the sea, dancing over glistening red scales. Illuminated by the sun a giant beast flew above the crests of the waves. Enormous wings beat the air.
“Tabellarius ride swiftly” I had to yell over the crash and swell of the waves on the cliffs. The jagged rock was taller than anything I had ever seen. They rose high and white over the swirling waters below. Dipping through a rock formation and around a cliff we picked up speed. Faster I urged. We had to get there on time. Dark storm clouds threatened from the east.
Worn paths could be seen easily now on the land below us. Carriages led a long procession of travelers straggling along the roads. Horses weaved through the throng of people all headed in the same direction. At the speed Tabellarius was going, everything looked blurred and stretched together.
Nestled between the mountains was a glow, a lantern to light the mountains. The lantern grew to a sun as we got closer. A rainbow of banners flew in the wind. Tents with wild colored designs were everywhere. One had a dragon design similar to the scales of my dragon. People were doused in colorful lighting and brilliant colored powders coated faces and hair. I had made it. Tabellarius landed us in a field a bit away from the fairgrounds. Whispering for him to stay, I snuck off into the night, the hood of my cloak pulled over my head.
Keep to the shadows. I must reach him. It isn’t too late. The message can still be delivered. Thoughts raced through my head as I moved through the dark corners of the festival. Darkness encroached on the borders of the festivities. Storm clouds swirled above, touching the light of the festival. Colors dulled and light flickered. Faster, I must get there. I quickened my pace. Shadows ripped my cloak, and grabbed at my hair. Darkness moved closer to the people of the festival. A gloom settled over the mountains. A voice spoke from the darkness, loud and booming.
“Light. What a pitiful thing isn’t it. Cowering at the mere sight of a shadow. What will you do now without your precious light -”
“Reagan. Reagan. Reagan!”
I slowly looked up, glaring at the source of the annoyance. My little brother. Of course. I couldn’t ignore him or he would only start poking me.
“What is it?” I said, gritting my teeth. “You shouldn’t interrupt someone. While. They’re. Reading.”
