Can I please ask about "don’t rock the jukebox (Jake x OC)"? 💕

so we know that Jake loves The Hard Deck jukebox, we’ve saw that in the movie, but what no one knows is why he loves it so much. during his time at Top Gun he had a fling with one of Penny’s bartenders. a nice, quiet girl who rocked his world almost every night for those two months he spent training in the hot San Diego sun. and one particularly memorable night she fucked him right against the jukebox. his quiet girl, who normally requests he turn the lights down before he eats her out because the sight of them in her mirror makes her turn fire engine red, fucks him against the jukebox after she closes for the night. his class graduates a few weeks later and they drift, as you might expect from a summer fling. this would cover their exploits from that summer, and maybe the night they reconnect 10 years later.

Not the OG asker, but just to springboard onto the "asking text posters to use their posts" question... I've had my posts used before and I personally don't mind at all! However, I just wish when this happened (not singling you out, just gif makers as a whole), the gif maker would tag the people whose posts they used. Because I almost missed one of mine until a friend sent it to me and I would have been bummed if I hadn't gotten to see it.

However, I know this adds more work so I get why it doesn't always happen.

Honestly, when i look at the tags, it looks like the person in question are happy that their posts are on the gifsets. And if they're not happy, i can always delete it. for me, it's not an issue but 🤸‍♂️

I could always tag them in the comment of my gifset if that's an issue.......

haha okay so i met him in september this year and i was so excited to talk to him because infinity pool is literally one of my favorite movies ever, and i told him that (he said, "that says a lot about you as a person" lmao), but then i asked him about the ... well ... dog scene, and if he isn't afraid that people will think he's weird for writing something like that, like how people often aren't able to distinguish between a book/movie/etc. and the people who wrote it, i asked if he ever worries that people will judge him (because that's something that's on my mind constantly, i have the most fucked up little ideas and then i'm never brave enough to write them)

and he said people always thought he was weird, even when he was a kid, so there's no reason for him to start worrying about that now, and then karim hussain (the cinematographer he always works with) told this story about a couple in argentina who went to the movie with her leading him on a leash, and he said it doesn't matter what other people thought of that scene because they had made a movie that this couple could watch together and felt seen by, and it's enough to have made it just for two people to enjoy, and then they talked about how alexander skarsgård asked them to attend premieres crawling on his knees being led down the red carpet, and that whole afternoon taught me to have more fun and stop worrying about how people might perceive my writing

Alright let me be honest here , I love y'all all so so much but I am taking a break I don't know how long and what I just know I am taking a break. Y'all didn't do anything wrong it's just I need to let myself be first this time even tho I will be on this app I will not be posting. I have came fair making more friends then I originally had on this app but I think it's time I just stop and let my phone down for a while. I've been watching my friends get mad at each other (my personal life!) And I've always had to step in to be the mother. I wish every now and then that my friends who doesn't have a mother to let me be the one to fill the mother role in someone's life if y'all don't have a mother please call me mother, listen I don't care y'all call me. Call me what you would like.@a-reader-and-a-writer even though we really don't talk shes amazing and a kind hearted person .

Here's a line from the WIP I'm actually working on right now! It's called "Finding Me, Finding You" is a Prussia/Canada (Gilbert/Matthew) I had a hard time figuring out which line to pick! but I settled with a funny line.

Hey everyone, especially those following along with Whumptober!

Just a quick update: @a-reader-and-a-writer has had her power affected by Hurricane Milton that hit Florida a few days ago. Her family, pets, home and thankfully herself are all okay, safe and secure. However, they aren't expecting power to be back on till the 17th!

Although queen Vee will periodically be able to check in with us here, updating, editing and writing for the days she selected has become something unchievable given the circumstances.

I ask you to remember that there are genuine, real people behind these blogs and unfortunately this has been an unprecedented event we didn't expect. Please allow Vee the gracefulness I know you have and understand that some days going forward may be skipped, missed or backdated at a later date.

We both love every single one of you for supporting us during Whumptober.
